Get Started
Lumiera is a WordPress theme built for spas, massage salons, beauty and aesthetic clinics, and wellness businesses — with booking-friendly layouts, service & team showcases, and a full WooCommerce shop. This guide walks you through installing it, configuring it, and using every builder module, step by step.
lumiera.zip theme, and lumiera-addons.zip, a companion plugin that powers the Header/Footer/Mega Menu/Slider/Block builders, the Elementor widgets, and all WooCommerce enhancements (Geo Delivery, Product Builder, Wishlist, Compare, Swatches, etc). The theme will not look or function correctly without the addons plugin activated.
Server Requirements
Lumiera is built on standard, well-supported WordPress technology. Confirm these with your host before installing.
| Requirement | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | 5.8 | Latest stable (theme is tested up to 6.9) |
| PHP | 7.4 | 8.1 or newer |
| MySQL | 5.6 | 8.0 / MariaDB 10.3+ |
| PHP Memory Limit | 128M | 256M (demo import and Elementor need headroom) |
max_execution_time | 60s | 300s (for smooth one‑click demo import) |
upload_max_filesize / post_max_size | 32M | 64M+ |
| SSL | — | Required for WooCommerce checkout and geolocation ("use my location") |
max_execution_time and memory below the recommended values, which is the most common cause of a demo import stalling partway through. Ask your host to raise these, or run the import in smaller batches (Content → Media first, then the rest).
Installation
Install the theme first, then the addons plugin — the order matters, since the theme's admin notices link directly to installing the required plugin.
1. Install the theme
- Upload — In wp-admin, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme, select
lumiera.zip, click Install Now, then Activate. - Open the Setup Wizard — Activation does not redirect you automatically. Instead, look for either of these two entry points:
- A "Complete Lumiera Theme Setup" notice box at the top of the Plugins page, with a blue Complete Setup button.
- A new Lumiera item added to the main wp-admin sidebar menu (just above Posts) — click it to open the wizard directly.
2. Install the required & recommended plugins
On the Plugins step of the wizard (or any time under Appearance → Install Plugins), Lumiera lists the following:
| Plugin | Status | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Elementor | Required | Page builder — powers every template (header, footer, mega menu, sliders, blocks, product builder). |
| Lumiera Addons | Required | Companion plugin (lumiera-addons.zip) — Elementor widgets and all WooCommerce enhancements. |
| One Click Demo Import | Required | Imports demo content, images and Steelthemes Options in one pass. |
| WooCommerce | Optional | Enable if you're building a shop (chosen on the eCommerce step). |
| Fluent Cart | Optional | Alternative cart/checkout engine, if selected instead of WooCommerce. |
| Contact Form 7 | Optional | Contact / booking-style forms used in several demo pages. |
| Amelia | Optional | Appointment booking (recommended for spa/salon booking flows). |
| MailChimp for WP | Optional | Newsletter sign-up widgets. |
| GTranslate | Optional | Front-end site translation. |
lumiera-addons.zip → Install Now → Activate.
3. Create a child theme (recommended)
Use the wizard's Child Theme step to generate one automatically. Any custom PHP snippets, hook overrides, or template edits should go in the child theme — this keeps your customizations safe when you update Lumiera.
4. Import the demo content
On the Demo Import step, pick a demo (if multiple are offered) and click Import. This installs pages, the Header/Footer/Mega Menu templates, sliders, blocks, menus, widgets and matching Steelthemes Options in one operation.
5. Finish
The Done step confirms setup and links you to Lumiera → Steelthemes Options to start personalizing your site.
Theme Options Panel & Uses
Reachable at Lumiera → Steelthemes Options in the wp-admin sidebar. This single panel controls global behaviour across the whole site, grouped into the 23 tabs below (each with its own icon in the left-hand tab list).
| Tab | What it controls |
|---|---|
| General Settings | Admin notice on/off, custom body background image, and the full Preloader system (Spinner style with 4 shapes + color, or a Custom Type image-slideshow preloader with up to 5 images, slide duration, brand-name toggle, and a safety max-time auto-dismiss). |
| Logo / Header / Footer | Dark & light logo uploads, logo width, header/sticky-header style assignment (default + archive + shop + shop-single, each), footer style assignment (default + shop + shop-single), and the Back to Top button (3-color gradient, position). See the Header/Footer sections below. |
| Popup Settings | Site-wide popup system driven by a Lumiera Block: trigger (page load / time delay / scroll % / exit intent), display-rule targeting (home, shop, product, blog, cart, checkout, account, or all pages), "don't show again" cookie duration, auto-close, position, overlay color, close button, and entrance animation. |
| Page Title / Breadcrumb | Enable/disable the page header band; choose its type (None / Only Title / Only Breadcrumb / Both 1 / Both 2, each with its own optional logo image); text alignment; background image + overlay (separate desktop and blog/single-post variants); opacity; padding (desktop, tablet, mobile — plus a per-page override, see below); and colors for title, breadcrumb and highlight text. |
| Team Settings | Archive page assignment, Default-grid vs Elementor-editor archive content mode, card style/columns/order/count, which fields show (designation, highlight badge, social links, excerpt), and Team single-page layout + element toggles (featured image, title, categories, tags, author, social share, related members, prev/next, comments). |
| Before After Settings | The same pattern as Team/Service, applied to the Before/After comparison post type: archive page + content mode, card style (3 styles), columns, before/after labels, initial slider position %, autoplay + speed, excerpt, read-more button, and single-page layout + element toggles. |
| Service Settings | Archive page + content mode, 6 card styles (with color-mode variants for styles 2 and 6), columns, title tag, count/order, and toggles for category, card-link, featured image, excerpt and highlight text — plus Service single-page element toggles. |
| Post Type Names & Slugs | Rename the Service, Before After and Team post types (and their Category/Tag taxonomies) — singular/plural labels and URL slugs — without editing code. After saving, go to Settings → Permalinks and click "Save Changes" to flush rewrite rules, or the new slugs will 404. |
| Blog Settings | Archive: style, column count, excerpt on/off + word count, categories/date/likes/views toggles, and a one-click "Reset Likes & Views" switch. Single post: Default vs Editor Mode, and toggles for every element (featured image, title, date, views, likes, categories, tags, author, social share, related posts, prev/next, comments). |
| Typography | Upload custom web fonts (WOFF2/WOFF/TTF/OTF/EOT) and assign a Primary and Secondary font. Independent enable + typography controls (family, size, weight, style, line-height, letter-spacing, text-transform) for Body text and each heading level H1–H6, each with a lighter mobile-only override. |
| Custom Icons | Upload your own icon font (EOT/WOFF2/WOFF/TTF/SVG) plus its CSS definitions, for use via the [st-icon name="..."] shortcode, steelthemes_icon('name') in PHP, or a plain <i class="steelthemes-name"> tag. Includes a built-in usage guide. |
| Theme Colors | Three modes: Select Theme Color (placeholder/off), Theme Color Generator (pick one primary color and Lumiera derives a full live-previewed palette), or Custom Theme Color (set all 16 individual variables yourself — primary/secondary/tertiary/accent, heading & body text colors, borders, menu colors, and 4 background tones). |
| 404 / Maintenance / Cookies Settings | Custom 404 page powered by a Lumiera Block; site-wide Maintenance Mode, also powered by a Block; and a cookie-consent notice with editable message and button text. |
| Layout | Site Layout (Full Width / Boxed), max content width in px, overall site content padding, and default sidebar layout (No Sidebar / Left Sidebar / Right Sidebar) — set separately for regular Pages, the Service archive, the Shop archive, and Shop single-product pages. |
| WooCommerce Plugins | The single Geo Filter Enable switch that turns on the location panel and distance-based product filtering — see the Geo Location section below. |
| WooCommerce Shop Page Settings | Everything about the product grid: card type/image style/equal-height/title-truncation, which elements show on a card (rating, category, brand, add-to-cart, sold-progress, badges, shipping info, stock status, deal countdown, price, description), quick view/wishlist/compare buttons, and full archive controls (filters, grid/list switch, per-page selector, recently-viewed, pagination style, plus a whole secondary filter-title/toggle set for the sidebar-less "Type 2" layout — category, tag, brand, attributes, rating, price-range, status). |
| WooCommerce Single Settings | Single-product gallery style (4 options), sticky add-to-cart toggle, Frequently Bought Together style, and the Social Sharing toggles (Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp) — see the WhatsApp Sharing section below. |
| Instagram Settings | A repeater for connecting one or more Instagram accounts (label + Basic-Display API access token) so each becomes a selectable feed source in the Elementor Instagram Feed widget, plus a one-click cache-clear link and a built-in guide to generating the token. |
| Wishlist & Compare | Independent enable switches, page assignment for each, button text, and — separately for the Compare table and the Wishlist table — a multi-select of exactly which columns appear (image, SKU, rating, price, stock, add-to-cart, description, weight, dimensions, added date, etc). |
| Free Shipping Bar | Enable switch, progress message, target shipping zone, dollar threshold, and a separate "reached" congratulations message. |
| SEO Settings | A built-in on-page SEO/meta module (title, description, keywords, Open Graph, Twitter Cards, canonical URLs, robots/noindex rules, JSON-LD schema, and an XML sitemap) — see the dedicated section below. Automatically disables its own output if Yoast, RankMath or All-in-One SEO is detected active. |
| Custom Code | Custom CSS box, custom JavaScript box, plus raw header-scripts and footer-scripts textareas — for snippets that don't belong in a plugin. |
| Backup & Restore | Export your entire Steelthemes Options configuration to a file, or import one — useful before big changes or when cloning settings to a staging site. |
Layout
Found under Steelthemes Options → Layout. Controls the site's structural defaults, separate from any one page's design.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Site Layout | Full Width or Boxed — the overall site container style. |
| Content Width | Maximum width (px) of the main content container, 800–1920px. |
| Site Content Padding | Top/right/bottom/left spacing around the main content area (also applied to the shop and full-listing pages). |
| Default / Page / Service / Shop Archive / Shop Single Layout | Five independent No Sidebar / Left Sidebar / Right Sidebar pickers, letting regular pages, the Service archive, the Shop archive, and single product pages each default to a different sidebar arrangement. |
Typography
Found under Steelthemes Options → Typography.
- Custom fonts (optional) — Enable Custom Fonts, then use the repeater to upload your own font's WOFF2/WOFF/TTF/OTF/EOT files under a name you choose. That name then becomes selectable anywhere a font-family field appears.
- Primary / Secondary fonts — Enable each independently and set family, size, weight, style, line-height, subset, text-transform and letter-spacing.
- Body & headings — Enable Body Typography and/or H1–H6 individually; each heading also gets a lighter mobile-only override (family and size only) so large desktop headings can shrink gracefully on small screens.
Custom Icons
Found under Steelthemes Options → Custom Icons. Lets you bring in your own icon font instead of (or alongside) the theme's built-in icon set.
- Generate an icon font with a tool such as icomoon.io/app or fontello.com.
- Enable Custom Icons, then upload the EOT, WOFF2, WOFF, TTF and SVG files it generates.
- Copy the CSS definitions from that font's own
style.cssinto the Icon CSS Definitions box (e.g..phone:before { content: "\e900"; }).
Using an icon once it's set up
| Context | Usage |
|---|---|
| Shortcode | [st-icon name="phone"], or with a class/style: [st-icon name="phone" class="large-icon" style="color: red;"] |
| PHP template | steelthemes_icon('phone'); |
| Plain HTML | <i class="steelthemes-phone"></i> |
Header Builder
Headers are built as normal Elementor templates, using a dedicated Headers custom post type — not hard-coded PHP — so you can design an unlimited number of header layouts.
- Create the header — Go to Lumiera → Headers → Add New, give it a name, and click Edit with Elementor to design it (logo, nav menu widget, icons, buttons, search, cart, etc. — all available as Elementor widgets).
- Publish it.
- Turn on custom headers — In Steelthemes Options → Logo / Header / Footer, switch on Header Custom Enable / Disable first — the style dropdowns below stay hidden until this is on.
- Assign it — Use Select Header Style to pick this header as the site-wide default.
Context-specific headers
You are not limited to one header. Separate dropdowns let you assign a different header for:
| Setting | Applies to |
|---|---|
| Select Header Style | Default header, sitewide |
| Select Header Style For Archive Pages | Blog/category/tag archive pages |
| Select Header Style For Shop Pages | WooCommerce shop & category pages |
| Select Header Style For Shop Single Pages | Single product pages |
Sticky header
Toggle Header Sticky Enable/Disable, then choose a (usually simplified) header design to appear once the visitor scrolls, again with separate options for archive, shop, and shop-single contexts.
Sliders
Sliders have their own Sliders custom post type and Elementor widget, so hero/banner sliders are built visually rather than through a settings form.
- Go to Lumiera → Sliders → Add New, name it and open with Elementor.
- Add slides using the theme's Slider widget (each slide can hold its own image/video background, heading, text and buttons), then set transition, autoplay and navigation options in the widget panel.
- Publish, then drop that slider anywhere — most commonly at the top of your homepage — either by inserting it as an Elementor "Template" widget, or by placing it in a header that includes a hero area.
Blocks (Reusable Elementor Sections)
The Blocks post type is Lumiera's version of "saved sections" — build a piece of content once (a CTA band, a promo strip, a testimonial group) and reuse it across many pages, editing it in one place to update everywhere it's placed.
- Go to Lumiera → Blocks → Add New, design the section in Elementor, and publish.
- On any Page/Post, add Elementor's Template widget (or the theme's Block widget, where available) and select the Block to insert it.
Geo Location & Delivery Settings
Lumiera Addons includes a location-based delivery/filtering system for WooCommerce: shoppers set (or auto-detect) their location in a floating panel, and the shop can filter which products are shown and calculate distance-based delivery charges.
Enabling it
- Go to Steelthemes Options → WooCommerce Plugins and turn on Geo Filter Enable to activate the location panel and product filtering on the shop.
- Under the same settings group, turn on Delivery options to enable distance-based delivery pricing (flat charge, radius-based tiers, and an extra surcharge beyond a base radius).
Setting product/store locations
Open any WooCommerce product for editing — a Location meta box lets you pin one or more locations (label, latitude/longitude, city) for that product by typing an address into the built-in map search (powered by OpenStreetMap/Photon, no API key required) or entering coordinates manually.
What the shopper sees
A floating panel (bottom corner, all shop-facing pages) lets the visitor:
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| My Location | Auto-detects the visitor's location via the browser. |
| Search | Free-text address/city autocomplete search. |
| Radius slider | Sets how far (km) from that location products should be shown/priced from. |
| Clear | Removes the saved location and shows the full, unfiltered catalog again. |
Once set, the shop query is filtered to nearby products only (if strict mode is on), and a delivery-charge notice is shown reflecting the flat rate, the matching radius tier, or the extra surcharge for being beyond the base radius.
WhatsApp Sharing & Ordering
Lumiera includes a Share on WhatsApp button as part of the Product Builder's sharing widget. This is a share/marketing feature that opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled product title and link for the customer to send to themselves or a friend. For actual order-via-WhatsApp checkout, install the separate WhatsApp Order for WooCommerce – Lumiera plugin.
Built-in WhatsApp Sharing
- Go to Lumiera → Steelthemes Options → WooCommerce Single Settings → Social Sharing Settings and toggle WhatsApp on. Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Telegram and Instagram can be enabled independently.
- If you're using a custom single-product Elementor template built with the Product Builder, add the theme's Product Sharing widget and enable WhatsApp from its widget settings.
- The Share on WhatsApp button will appear alongside the other enabled sharing icons on the product page.
WhatsApp Order for WooCommerce – Lumiera
For complete order-via-WhatsApp functionality, install the separate WhatsApp Order for WooCommerce – Lumiera plugin. It requires WooCommerce and adds a complete WhatsApp ordering system on top of Lumiera's sharing functionality.
What the plugin adds
- Order on WhatsApp popup: Displays an order button on shop, single product, cart and checkout pages. Customers can enter their name, WhatsApp number, email and delivery address before sending the order to your store's WhatsApp number.
- WooCommerce payment gateway: Adds Order on WhatsApp as a checkout payment method. The customer completes checkout normally and is redirected to WhatsApp with the order details pre-filled. A WooCommerce order is created with a configurable status such as Pending.
- Multiple WhatsApp numbers: Add multiple store numbers for different departments or branches and allow customers to select the appropriate number.
- Shareable cart links: The cart's Share on WhatsApp button can generate a link containing the complete cart, including products, variations and quantities. Opening the link automatically adds the same items to the customer's cart.
- Order status notifications: Optionally send customers WhatsApp notifications when their order is confirmed or its status changes. Message templates can use placeholders such as
{name},{order_id}and{status}. - Floating WhatsApp chat: Add a configurable floating WhatsApp chat button with a custom position and label, independent of the order and sharing buttons.
- Display rules: Restrict the buttons to logged-in users, hide the standard add-to-cart button, limit ordering to specific products or categories, display the buttons only on mobile, and customize button text, colors, padding and borders.
Setup
- Install and activate WhatsApp Order for WooCommerce – Lumiera. WooCommerce must be installed and active.
- Open the plugin's settings and add your WhatsApp number or numbers.
- Configure the order and share button styles, message templates and display rules.
- To enable WhatsApp ordering as a checkout payment method, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and enable Order on WhatsApp.
Lumiera Product Builder
Found under Lumiera Product Builder in the wp-admin sidebar. This tool lets you replace WooCommerce's default single-product and shop/archive templates with your own Elementor designs, site-wide.
How it works
- Build a single-product template — Lumiera Product Builder → Product Single Templates → Add New, design it in Elementor using the dedicated product widgets (Gallery, Title, Price, Rating, Add to Cart, Tabs, Related, Upsell, Cross-sell, Meta, Breadcrumb, Sharing, Video, 360° view, Excerpt, Data Features), then publish.
- Build an archive/shop template the same way under Product Archive Templates, if you want a fully custom shop grid layout.
- Activate them — go to Lumiera Product Builder → Settings, choose your published template from the Select Single Product Template and/or Select Archive Template dropdown, and click Save.
Selecting "Use Default WooCommerce Template" in either dropdown reverts that area back to the theme's built-in WooCommerce templates.
Other Shop Features
Beyond Geo Delivery, Sharing and the Product Builder, Lumiera Addons ships several standard shop-conversion features, each with its own on/off switch inside Steelthemes Options → WooCommerce tabs:
| Feature | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Wishlist & Compare | Lets shoppers save products to a wishlist and compare specs side-by-side. |
| Free Shipping Bar | A progress bar in the cart showing how much more a customer needs to spend to unlock free shipping, with a customizable threshold and message. |
| Variation Swatches | Displays color/image swatches instead of plain dropdowns for variable products. |
| Quick View | Opens a product preview in a modal directly from the shop grid, without a full page load. |
| Buy Now | A one-click button that skips the cart and sends the shopper straight to checkout. |
| Shop Filters | Sidebar/off-canvas filter widgets for price, category, attributes, etc. |
| Stock/Sale Notices | Low-stock and on-sale badges/notices on product cards and single pages. |
Built-in SEO Settings
Found under Lumiera → Steelthemes Options → SEO Settings. Lumiera ships its own lightweight on-page SEO module — meta tags, Open Graph, schema and an XML sitemap — so a separate SEO plugin isn't required for the basics.
What you can configure
| Area | Controls |
|---|---|
| Per-section meta | Independent Meta Title, Meta Description, Meta Keywords and OG/share image for the Homepage, the Blog/Archive pages, and the WooCommerce Shop page. |
| Per-post meta box | Choose which post types (Post, Page, Service, Before After, Team, Product, etc.) get their own SEO meta box on the edit screen, for a title/description/keywords/OG image/noindex/nofollow specific to that one item. |
| Title Suffix | Text appended to every generated page title (defaults to | Your Site Name). |
| Open Graph / Twitter Cards | Independent enable switches for OG tags and Twitter Card tags, plus your OG site name and X/Twitter handle. |
| Robots & Canonical | Output canonical URLs; optionally noindex tag/date/author archives; optionally noindex internal search-result pages. |
| Schema / Structured Data | One switch enables JSON-LD schema output: Organization schema on the homepage, Product schema (with price, stock and ratings) on single products, Article schema on posts/services/before-after/team, CollectionPage schema on the shop/category pages, plus automatic BreadcrumbList schema everywhere. |
| XML Sitemap | One switch publishes a sitemap at yoursite.com/sitemap.xml, indexing every enabled post type and taxonomy. Flush permalinks (Settings → Permalinks → Save Changes) after turning this on. |
Instagram Settings
Found under Lumiera → Steelthemes Options → Instagram Settings. Connects one or more Instagram accounts so their photos can be pulled into an Elementor Instagram Feed widget anywhere on the site.
- Get an access token — go to developers.facebook.com/apps, create an app, add the Instagram Basic Display product, add your Instagram account as a test user, and generate a token.
- Add the account — in the Instagram Settings tab, use the repeater to add a row: an Account Label (a friendly name, e.g. "@Lumiera Main") and the Access Token you generated.
- Use it — add Elementor's Instagram Feed widget to any page; the account label you set appears as a selectable source in the widget's dropdown.
Posts & Pages, Explained Simply
If you're new to WordPress, here's the plain-language version of how content works in Lumiera.
Pages
Use Pages → Add New for anything static: Home, About, Contact, Services overview, Privacy Policy. Every page has a Page Attributes box where you can choose a Lumiera page template:
| Template | Use for |
|---|---|
| Default | A normal page with your active header, footer and optional sidebar. |
| Full Width | Edge-to-edge content, no sidebar — best for Elementor-built landing pages. |
| Boxed | Content constrained to a centered, boxed container. |
| Boxed Full | A boxed layout with a full-width feel at the container edges. |
| Homepage | The dedicated homepage template, matched to the demo homepage design. |
Click Edit with Elementor on any page to build it visually using the theme's widgets, sliders, and blocks described above.
Posts (Blog)
Use Posts → Add New for blog articles/news. Configure the blog listing layout, image sizes and single-post appearance in Steelthemes Options → Blog Settings. Posts support Featured Images, Categories, Tags, and post formats (gallery, video, quote, link, audio, etc.) that change how a post is styled in the listing.
Custom Post Types
Lumiera adds several dedicated content types for a spa/salon business, each with its own admin menu, categories/tags, and Steelthemes Options tab for archive/card styling.
| Post Type | Admin location | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Service | Services | Individual treatments/packages (massage, facial, etc.) with their own single template and archive grid, styled from Steelthemes Options → Service Settings. |
| Team | Team | Staff/therapist profiles, with designation, social links, and highlight badges — styled from Steelthemes Options → Team Settings. |
| Before / After | Before After | Before/after result showcases (a common spa/clinic conversion element), each entry holding a comparison image pair. |
| Headers / Footers | Lumiera → Headers / Footers | Elementor-built header and footer templates — see the Header/Footer Builder sections above. |
| Mega Menus | Lumiera → Mega Menus | Elementor-built dropdown panels attached to menu items. |
| Sliders | Lumiera → Sliders | Hero/banner sliders. |
| Blocks | Lumiera → Blocks | Reusable Elementor sections. |
| Product Single/Archive Templates | Lumiera Product Builder | Custom WooCommerce single-product and shop layouts (Elementor). |
| Products | Products (WooCommerce) | Your shop catalog, extended with the Location meta box for Geo Delivery. |
The common pattern
Almost every builder-style post type (Header, Footer, Mega Menu, Slider, Block, Product Templates) follows the same three steps: 1) Add New → design it with Elementor, 2) Publish, 3) Assign/select it somewhere else (a Theme Option dropdown, a menu item field, or the Product Builder settings page). If a new template "isn't showing up," the assignment step is almost always the one that was missed.
Troubleshooting
Layout looks broken / missing icons, widgets, or WooCommerce features
The Lumiera Addons plugin isn't installed or active. Go to Plugins and confirm it's listed and active; if not, install it from lumiera-addons.zip as described in Installation.
Elementor widgets from the theme are missing
Confirm both Elementor and Lumiera Addons are active and up to date, then hard-refresh the Elementor editor. Elementor caches its widget list — under Elementor → Tools → Regenerate CSS & Data often resolves widgets that "disappeared" after an update.
Header/Footer/Mega Menu/Slider/Block edits aren't showing on the live site
- Confirm the item is Published, not Draft.
- Confirm it's actually selected in the relevant place (Steelthemes Options dropdown, menu item field, or Product Builder settings) — publishing alone doesn't assign it.
- Clear any page-caching plugin and your browser cache.
Demo import fails or stalls partway through
Almost always a hosting resource limit. Ask your host to raise max_execution_time, memory_limit, and upload_max_filesize (see Server Requirements), then try again — the importer can usually resume rather than starting over.
Geo Location panel doesn't detect the visitor's location
Browser geolocation only works over HTTPS. If your site is on HTTP, the auto-detect button will silently fail — install an SSL certificate, or have shoppers use the address search field instead.
Mega Menu dropdown shows blank / empty
The linked Mega Menu template is either unpublished or was deleted. Re-check Appearance → Menus → the menu item → Select Mega Menu and pick a currently published template.
Product Builder template not applying to a specific product
Remember the Product Builder assignment is global (all products / all archives use the same chosen template) — it's not per-product. If one product needs a different layout, override it directly on that product with Elementor's page-level template option instead.
Changes to Steelthemes Options don't seem to save or apply
Rule out a caching plugin (server-side or CDN-level) serving a stale version of the page. Also check for JavaScript errors in the browser console on the options screen, which is usually caused by a conflicting plugin.
General update checklist before contacting support
- WordPress, PHP, Elementor, Lumiera, and Lumiera Addons are all on their latest versions.
- Deactivate other plugins one by one to isolate a conflict.
- Switch to a default WordPress theme temporarily to confirm whether an issue is theme-related or site-wide.
- Check Tools → Site Health for flagged PHP/server issues.
FAQ
Do I need Elementor Pro?
The free Elementor plugin plus Lumiera Addons covers the theme's own headers, footers, mega menus, sliders, blocks and product templates. Elementor Pro is only needed if you want its own extra widgets/features on top of what the theme already provides.
Can I use both WooCommerce and Fluent Cart?
The setup wizard has you choose one eCommerce engine during setup; pick whichever matches how you plan to sell online.
Will theme updates overwrite my customizations?
Only if you edit the parent theme's files directly. Use the child theme generated in the wizard (or create one manually) for any custom code, and keep Header/Footer/Mega Menu/Slider/Block/Product Template edits inside their own post types — those are database content, not theme files, so they're update-safe by default.
Where do I back up my Steelthemes Options before making big changes?
Steelthemes Options → Backup & Restore lets you export your current settings to a file you can re-import later or move to another install.
